Heavy Rain Effects Brisbane Racing

After heavy rainfall in Brisbane for much of this week, wet weather has unfortunately affected the racing both tomorrow at the Australia Day Races, and also this Saturday.

After track inspections earlier today, no local racing will be held tomorrow at Doomben. Instead the day will operate as a phantom meeting with reduced venues and bars open but with interstate racing coverage and bookies on-course.

Venues open will include the Betting Ring Can Bar and Betting Ring BBQ as well as local bookmakers and limited Tote operators. Admission to Doomben Racecourse will be free. All horses nominated for Australia Day are able to renominate for the races this Saturday.
