Three-year-old horses Atlantic Jewel and Sepoy have been added as headline acts in the final International thoroughbred Rankings, joining champion mare Black Caviar to give a trio of Australian horses.

Black Caviar has become the highest ranking sprinter in the history of the ranking system. She hs also the highest rated mare and the highest rated Australian-trained galloper.

“The rating assigned to Black Caviar reflects her absolute dominance in the Newmarket Handicap where she gave weight and trounced her rivals to win in the fastest time ever recorded in the 138 year history of Australia’s iconic sprint race,” Australia’s representative on the World Thoroughbred Rankings Committee, Greg Carpenter, said.

Sepoy has become the World Champion 3YO sprinter of 2011 after winning the Group 1 Makato Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Atlantic Jewel has also earned the World Champion 3YO Filly tag in the intermediate distance category after her seven-length win in the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes and success in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas.
